Work with Nic

Therapy

Nic is currently accepting referrals for clients seeking Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy, psychedelic integration, and/or Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) services. KAP involves the use of ketamine as a complement to psychotherapy. Nic delivers KAP in their practice in partnership with an organization called Journey Clinical, which has a specialized medical team that determines eligibility for KAP, prescribes the ketamine, & supports in monitoring outcomes. In their therapeutic practice, Nic prioritizes establishing an environment of safety and compassion for their clients, drawing from their over twenty years of clinical experience. Though Nic is open to all potential referrals, they specialize in clinical practice with LGBTQ+ adults and individuals navigating trauma.

Consultation

Nic currently offers ongoing IFS consultation groups for IFS clinicians with lived experience as an LGBTQ+ person who would benefit from or prefer to do consultation in affinity. They leverage their extensive experience with the model and with LGBTQ+ communities to provide insightful and supportive group consultation. The IFS consultation groups meet remotely on a monthly basis.

Additionally, Nic offers individual clinical consultation for clinicians working with queer, trans, and gender diverse individuals. Nic also welcomes invitations to consult with pre-formed groups who would like to do a series of consultation meetings together. Their approach is grounded in gender affirming care and the Internal Family Systems (IFS) model. Nic’s warm presence and guidance creates a supportive environment that allows for greater clarity and confidence regarding one’s clinical work. They are currently providing consultation remotely, and clinicians can seek out one time consults or on-going support. IFS consultation with Nic has been approved by the IFS Institute to count toward IFS certification.

GIVING BACK

In solidarity with their trans and gender diverse siblings, Nic makes a monthly donation to the Transgender Emergency Fund of Massachusetts, an organization providing mutual aid to low-income transgender individuals.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Nic has put aside your scheduled appointment time for you and maintains a 48 hour cancellation policy. Therefore, if you do not show up for an appointment or cancel without 48 hours notice, you will be responsible to pay the full session fee for the missed appointment.  Exceptions will be made in cases of emergency where 48 hours advance notice was not possible.

NOTICE TO CLIENTS AND PROSPECTIVE CLIENTS

Under the law, health care providers need to give clients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services.

You can ask your healthcare provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service, or at any time during treatment.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, or how to dispute a bill, see your Estimate, or visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
